Today is the beginning of the next exciting chapter for Fliteboard.
I am pleased to announce that Fliteboard is now part of Brunswick Corporation (NSYE: BC). So why this decision? In short, it is so that Flite can reach its full potential.
Fliteboard started with a simple dream - to fly over water with friends without wind or waves. Enthusiasm for Fliteboard from around the world inspired us to build a business offering and supporting world class products. The incredible response we received inspired us to aim higher, to build the most loved eFoil brand in the world.
Over the past few years we have set our sights even higher; for Flite to become the disruptive global leader in personal electric foil craft across a range of future categories. We want to take Flite to more people, and expand the use of quiet and sustainable marine technology to new markets. We have a bold vision; one that requires significant resources. It turns out that our dream is congruent with Brunswick’s goals; to innovate to transform experiences on water.
Fliteboard will work within Mercury Marine, benefiting from Brunswick’s industry-leading electrification strategy and the resources required to help us accelerate product development, manufacturing, sales, distribution, financing, and supply chain.
I know that many of you are passionate about Flite and have taken a keen interest in the development of our company. Here are some answers to questions that may be on your mind:
I will continue to lead Fliteboard as Founder, CEO and Product Architect.
Byron Bay will continue to be home to our global HQ. I am excited about the potential to amplify the vision, values, passion, creativity and commitment of our team to build the Flite brand, products, and customer experience far beyond what was ever imagined; with the support of Brunswick.
